Small business support

From 2004-2007 in cooperation with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the Sakhalin-1 Consortium implemented a regional small business support program on Sakhalin Island with a total budget of over $1.3 million.

The program created or sustained about 100 small businesses and more than 500 job opportunities in Nogliki and Okha districts.

In 2009, the Consortium extended this program to Khabarovsk Krai’s Ulchi District by providing additional $200,000.
