Sakhalin Oblast Children’s Hospital

The Sakhalin-1 Consortium has been providing financial support for the Oblast Children’s Hospital for many years.

The majority of the cutting-edge equipment was purchased for the Special Care Nursery Department that received two thirds of the equipment from an expensive bilirubin meter to heated mattresses for everyday use for newborns, as well as an ECG recorder and printer. Renovation also covered the hospital’s Medical Consultation Service, Pediatrics Department, Intensive Care Department, Emergency Room, and Clinical Diagnostic Laboratory.

“We have been cooperating with the Sakhalin Children’s Hospital for years, and know how committed the medics are to their jobs there. These people actually determine the future of new generations of Sakhalin. They resuscitate and help protect the vulnerable health of our kids. They are highly talented and unique people who work in the hospital and help our children. It is a great honor for us to support them in their work,” says Margarita Tsoy, Exxon Neftegas Limited Vice-President.

In 2020 the Company has contributed over 7.5 million RUB to Oblast Children’s Hospital for various equipment to aid patients including pneumonia treatment.

Sakhalin Oblast Oncological Clinic

Cancer is one of the major healthcare concern in the region and the Sakhalin-1 Consortium joined the efforts to resolve this problem. The Consortium has been helping to provide state-of-the-art medical equipment for the Sakhalin Oncological Clinic for several years and provided the advanced training opportunities for doctors and medical specialists.

The new medical equipment allowed to examine patients with hard cases in 24/7 in-patient unit, urgent therapy and intensive care units.

In 2020 7.5 million RUB has been contributed to the Sakhalin Oncological Clinic to implement an early cancer detection project in Sakhalin oblast.

Nogliki Central District Hospital

The Nogliki Central District Hospital has been in partnership with Exxon Neftegas Limited for more than 10 years. During that time, the hospital has substantially upgraded its medical and laboratory equipment.

In 2020 Nogliki Central District Hospital with the Company’s support will allocate about 1.6 million RUB to purchase laminar box for anti-cancer drugs, equip pharmacies in Nogliki District villages and purchase other medical equipment. 

Okha Central District Hospital

Exxon Neftegas Limited has been conducting joint projects with the Okha Central District Hospital since 2006.  Disease prevention is a top priority as it is easier to prevent a disease than to cure it. That is why the Preventive Care Unit is one of the hospital’s busiest departments. More than 180,000 residents of the Okha District use its services every year. Under the grant program the hospital purchased new equipment, namely carbon monoxide detectors, glaucoma risk detection equipment, equipment for cholesterol and glucose testing, and equipment for early detection of respiratory and cardiac disorders. New equipment was also procured for the Maternity Department.

In 2020 the Okha Central District Hospital with the Company’s support is allocating over 2.5 million RUB to purchase equipment to help with the coronavirus response, medicine storage, to equip maternity wards and children’s clinic, to purchase equipment to process and store blood and its components etc.

Ulchi District Hospital of Khabarovsk Krai

Collaboration between Exxon Neftegas Limited (ENL) and Ulchi District Hospital started in 2005 when with the Company’s support the district hospital entirely upgraded its Surgery Unit, purchased cutting-edge diagnostics equipment and a mobile X-ray unit. Since then ENL’s annual support has allowed the hospital to embrace the most advanced medical technologies, operate the state-of-the-art equipment improving the quality of medical service for the Ulchi District community.

In 2020 with the Company’s support an oxygen concentrator has been purchased for the Ulchi District Hospital that will enhance the medical service to the community including COVID-19 response.
