The participants received guidance on the process of applying for Sakhalin-1 Consortium financial support for socially significant projects. Exxon Neftegas Limited, on behalf of Sakhalin-1 Consortium, holds social projects funding contest annually. At the stage of application submission, ENL representatives and qualified social initiative experts meet with representatives of non-governmental organizations, answer their questions and help them complete application forms.
This year the decision was made to host such meetings online, since face-to-face interaction elevates COVID-19 risks.
“The pandemic failed to put an end to our consultations with grantees – we simply made them online. And we succeeded!” reports Elena Alyokhina, ENL Public Affairs. “During virtual communication we managed to discuss through the entire process of developing a social project, as well as to review funding application procedure. Everyone who joined our meetings had a chance to ask questions and hear back.”
In addition, a dedicated video training was provided to the participants called “Social Project Technology. Sakhalin-1 Version”, which provided detailed description of main stages of a socially significant project. These video presentations were made during online consultations. Representatives of Sakhalin and Khabarovsk Krai NGOs were involved in developing the training sessions. They shared their experience of going through all stages of social project implementation, starting from goals and objectives and all the way to the success of their projects supported by Sakhalin-1 Consortium.
Recorded online consultations and “Social Project Technology. Sakhalin-1 Version” video can be found at this link here.
We would like to remind you of November 15, 2020 being the deadline for applications for the contest initiated by Exxon Neftegas Limited on behalf of Sakhalin-1 international Consortium. Contest details and application form can be found at this link here.
