Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Russia, December 8, 2015 - The special prize for developing partnership when implementing social projects was awarded to Exxon Neftegas Limited, Sakhalin-1 project operator, at the awards ceremony for winners of the annual All-Russian survey of Corporate Charity Leaders. Exxon Neftegas Limited was recognized for efficient coordination of charitable activities with all members of Sakhalin-1 Consortium.
Also, Exxon Neftegas Limited has been included in Top 20 companies providing valuable and effective support to charitable activities in Russia.
“This was the first time we participated in the All-Russian survey of Corporate Charity Leaders,” says company President Wayne Warwick. “We are glad our contribution to well-being of the society was appreciated. This proves we are going in the right direction, and gives us assurance about new good deeds.”
Corporate Charity Leaders is a survey done by Donors Foundation (non-profit organization of charity organizations and funds) with the support of The Vedomosti business paper and PricewaterhouseCoopers international network of audit and consulting companies. The purpose of the survey is to identify the best charity programs of Russian companies, publicize information about them and bring to attention of the public, the businesses, the authorities and the media to charity.
This project is two-fold: a survey of corporate charity and a contest of charity programs in various categories. The survey results in a ranking which includes only companies with systematic approach to charity, leaders in the area.
In 2015 there were 65 applications for the survey. Final awards ceremony took place on November 25 in Moscow.
